Full text: | Richard Caughman was born in Richland Hospital, and was raised by his grandmother at 509 Blossom St. He attended Celia Dial Saxon School and Booker T. Washington High School. Growing up, Richard was always passionate about baseball. He started out playing stickball with the rest of the children in Ward One, but eventually played competitively for the Pulaski Street Eagles (later the Columbia Whips). | |
