Full text: | While the auditorium is all that remains of the Booker T. Washington campus, the ideals of the school remain alive today through the efforts of its steadfast alumni. In 1974, the same year the school closed, alumna Doris Glymph Greene established the Booker T. Washington Foundation and the BTW Alumni Association. The Foundation works to preserve the legacy of the school by providing scholarships to current Columbia students. It also hosts alumni events, including picnics, reunions, and a yearly heritage banquet. | |
